Upload CSV Files

Learn how to upload your data files and start generating insights immediately.

Supported File Formats

Chartlet supports the following file formats:

  • CSV files (.csv) - Comma-separated values
  • Excel files (.xlsx, .xls) - Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Files up to 50MB in size

How to Upload

  1. Click the "Upload" button in the dashboard
  2. Drag and drop your file or click to browse
  3. Wait 20-30 seconds while Chartlet analyzes your data
  4. View your automatically generated charts and insights

Excel Sheet Selection

If you upload an Excel file with multiple sheets, Chartlet will prompt you to select which sheet to analyze. You can always change the selected sheet later from the dataset settings.

Data Requirements

For best results, your data should:

  • Have column headers in the first row
  • Contain at least 5-10 rows of data
  • Use consistent data types within each column
  • Avoid completely empty rows or columns

Privacy & Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never share your data with third parties, and you can delete your datasets at any time from the dashboard.
